NRA FIRST Steps Rifle Orientation
Dade City Gun Club routinely organizes and offers the NRA’s FIRST Steps (Firearm Instruction, Responsibility and Safety Training) Rifle Program for area youth and those interested in learning how to properly handle a rifle.
The goal of this program is to provide the participants with a basic knowledge of firearm safety and proper rifle handling skills. The program is approximately 4 hours long and is offered throughout the summer and whenever there is sufficient interest (we need a minimum of eight people to have a successful class).
Cost is $50 per participant and includes the use of a .22 rifle and ammunition, NRA training materials, refreshments, professional instruction and a safe shooting environment. Participants may use their own rifle as long as it is approved, in advance, by the instructor(s).
