My name is Mercedes Barter, and I serve as the Facilitator for the Dade City chapter of  A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG). I am an NRA-certified Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer, and I am passionate about creating opportunities for women to gain confidence and skill with firearms in a safe, welcoming environment.

         AG & AG is a national organization dedicated to empowering women through education, training, and community. Our Dade City chapter launched its inaugural meeting on August 23rd 2025, to connect, share our experiences, and begin building a strong foundation of fellowship and training. We meet on the third Saturday of each month for our “Breakfast & Bullets” events, which combine classroom learning with range time and community building. Whether brand new to firearms or a seasoned shooter, women will find encouragement, mentorship, and growth within AG & AG.
