65 years old and still going strong!

Thanks to the many loyal members.

Our goal is to give everyone a safe and friendly place to enjoy the shooting sport.

So you have been thinking of becoming a certified NRA Range Safety Officer.

As a public range there is always a need for dedicated and qualified NRA trained Range Safety Officers. As a member you have already completed the first step toward that goal.

Of course, you would need to be a current member of the NRA, which most of our members are. That completes the second requirement needed. Next, you can contact any of the Board of Directors currently serving and they will add your name to the list of those interested. Once we get 5 or more names, you will be notified and a class will be scheduled. After completion of the class, you then will likely be scheduled to complete three working sessions with other RSO’s and a training form will be completed. The final step, based on your performance during those three work training sessions, is for the Chief Range Officer for our club to recommend you to the Dade City Gun Club Board of Directors. This may seem like a long process, but it really isn’t. We are always working with new RSO candidates that are assigned to serve as fully certified and qualified RSO’s. Hopefully you will be one of them in the near future.

Thursday Maintenance

Every Thursday volunteers get together to help keep the club safe, clean, and well maintained. If you have time, we would appreciate the assistance!
